JOC 2016 Publication of the Year Lectureship Award
Prof. Jeffrey Johnson Wins the 2016 The Journal of Organic Chemistry Outstanding Publication of the Year Lectureship Award
The ACS Division of Organic Chemistry and The Journal of Organic Chemistry are proud to announce Prof. Jeffrey Johnson, as the winner of the 2016 The Journal of Organic Chemistry Outstanding Publication of the Year Lectureship Award. He will be presented with an award at a symposium in his honor at the fall ACS National Meeting, August 21, 2016 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Prof. Jeffrey Johnson is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He says, “This award is especially fun because the project described in this paper epitomizes the way research often develops: lots of apparent dead ends and lots of great ideas (and implementation) from the student, Robert Sharpe in this case.”
