Audiovisual Equipment Changes the Fall 2017 ACS Meeting-Washington, DC

Categories: News

ACS has announced significant audiovisual equipment changes for the Technical sessions at the Fall 2017 ACS National Meeting in Washington, DC (https://www.acs.org/content/acs/en/meetings/fall-2017/whats-new.html). These include:

  1. Windows users will not be able to use their personal computer-one will be supplied in the room. They must bring their presentation(s) on a USB drive. Digital documents will be saved on host computers.
  2. Mac uses will only have access to HDMI connections (adapters will not be provided). VGA will not be supplied.
  3. The resolution of the supplied computer will be 1920×1080 resolution (16:9 aspect ratio).

As a backup strategy for anyone who feels uncomfortable, there are a variety of adapters out there to convert Lightning to HDMI (iPhone) or mini USB to HDMI (Android), so people can likely present from phones/tablets.
