The Organic Division congratulates Professors Benjamin List (Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung, Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany) and David W.C. MacMillan (Princeton University, USA) who have won the 2021 Nobel Prize in Chemistry “for the development of asymmetric organocatalysis” See the Nobelprize.org for more information.
Professor List is currently scheduled to speak at the 47th National Organic Chemistry Symposium (NOS) to be held Sunday, June 26 to Thursday June 30, 2022 at the University of California, San Diego in La Jolla, CA.
Additionally, Professor MacMillan spoke at both the 44th NOS in 2015 which was held at the University of Maryland, College Park, MD, and the 38th NOS in 2003 at Indiana University, Bloomington. See NOS History for the other speakers at that event as well as the rest of the NOS.
