We are now able to release the video of the lecture by David Thaisrivongs (Process Research & Development, Merck & Co., Rahway, NJ) entitled “The Largest Small Molecule: How Chemistry Enabled the Discovery and Development of PCSK9 Inhibitor MK-0616” which was given at the 2023 National Organic Chemistry Symposium (NOS). The 48th NOS was held July 9–13, 2023 on the campus of the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. Note, beyond the lectures given, NOS provides ample opportunities to interact with the speakers and other organic chemists during the nightly poster sessions, as well as other information sessions, and excursions. So, you had to be there to fully experience the meeting and see all the great chemistry. To view any of the videos, see the NOS 2023 Videos’ page.

The National Organic Symposium is the premier event sponsored by the ACS Division of Organic Chemistry to highlight recent advances in organic chemistry. See the history of NOS. The 49th NOS (the 100 year anniversary) will take place on the campus of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY from Sunday June 22 to Thursday June 26, 2025. Watch the NOS Home Page for details.
