The Division of Organic Chemistry, the Division of Medicinal Chemistry, and the Younger Chemists Committee are excited to be co-hosting “Biopharma 101: Transition to Industry” at the upcoming ACS meeting in Atlanta this Spring! In its third year, this half-day symposium will take place on Wednesday, March 25 from 2-6 pm and features an exciting line-up of early-career pharmaceutical professionals.
In addition, the Division of Organic Chemistry and the Younger Chemists Committee are also co-hosting a new symposium, “Academia 101: Launching Your Lab” at upcoming Spring ACS meeting in Atlanta! This half-day symposium will take place on Wednesday, March 25 from 8 am to 12 pm and features an exciting line-up of early-career academic professionals.
Panel discussions will follow both sets of talks, with further opportunities for networking during the Networking Session from 6.30-8.30 pm at Tin Lizzy’s Downtown Cantina (tickets will be granted first-come first-serve at the symposium).
If you are a student (graduate or undergraduate) and would like an opportunity to be more involved (and have the opportunity for travel support!), apply by February 27 to be one of our student presiders! As a presider you will introduce speakers before their talks, make sure talks remain within the designated time limit, and moderate questions from the audience. Follow this link (Academia and Biopharma 101: Travel Support Application (2026)) to apply. We look forward to meeting you in Atlanta!
